About Multiplication

Multiplication may no seem like the most exciting thing to learn – why would you want to memorize a bunch of multiplication facts? But it doesn’t have to be boring; there are a lot of fun ways to learn multiplication! For this badge, we’ll go through some fun ways to practice and end with you getting your “Multiplication Diploma”.

So, why would you even want to learn multiplication? Think about how often you actually use multiplication – shopping, cooking, games, and more!

It might be helpful before you really getting going to go over some of the basic multiplication rules that can help you memorize your facts more quickly.

Now that you’ve reviewed the rules, get a baseline to see how many or your multiplication facts you already know and which ones you still need to work on.

To help you along with your learning, we’re going to use a site called TimesTables.com that allows you to practice using games and timed drill tests.

Go to TimesTables.com by clicking the image below. Explore the site and find a few games to play. First, make an account and sign in so your progress is saved!

Next, go do a speed test. Click on all of the numbers to test all of your multiplication facts. That way you’ll know which ones you need to practice most.

Once you’ve finished your test, you’ll see the screen below – DON’T CLOSE IT YET!

Click on “View Results”.

You will see the screen below pop up:

Click on “Print Result”, save as a PDF file, and upload below.
